Over the course of the last month, I decided to dig into the health of infants and young children in hopes of preparing myself for the day I have a little one of my own. The last thing I want for my child is to be exposed to the health conditions I experienced throughout my life.

My parents did a wonderful job of taking care of me to the best of their abilities but what they couldn’t have foreseen was that food would play a vital role in destroying my health from the inside out.

Bread, sugar, gluten and vegetable oil, these things played a massive role in how my health plummeted in my late teens and early 20’s.

Two decades ago, my parent’s generation didn’t have access to the wealth of information the internet now has to offer.

Although books were available, not even doctors were well equipped with the science and research to advise people on the impact of consuming bad food.

All that has changed now.

We have the luxury of unlocking all the information in the world with the click of a few buttons. That’s the power we have been afforded with time and technology and we ought to be exploiting this great gift to the best of our abilities.

One of the things I strongly believe an adult has to do is look towards the future. We have to carve and help build a foundation of health and wellness for the next generation because they desperately need it.

The best thing you can do for your child’s health is to educate yourself on the impact of food, toxins, stress, and stagnancy on the human body, especially at a young age.

With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the things you can start implementing immediately to improve and strengthen your little one’s body.

6 Tips On How To Improve Your Child’s Health

  1. Reduce And Eliminate Excessive Sugar
  2. Ensure That You Are Feeding Your Little One Vegetables (Non-Negotiable)
  3. Take Them Outside For A Healthy Dose Of Sunshine And Fresh Oxygen
  4. Get Them To Run Around And Exercise Rather Than Spend All Day In Front Of A Screen
  5. Avoid Using Unnecessary Skincare Products That Are Loaded With Toxins And Chemicals
  6. Introduce Healthy Flora Into Your Child’s Gut With Controlled Substances Like Yogurt Enriched With Live Cultures

As always, consult with a knowledgeable pediatrician and have them share information on how you can build your child’s immune system and overall health through lifestyle, supplementation and dietary changes.

At the end of the day, not a single person on this planet can claim that processed sugar-laden food can ever compete with the wonderful benefits of healthy natural foods like fruits and vegetables.

If you introduce healthy choices and habits in a child’s life from a very early age, it is bound to stick in their mind and equip them with the necessary skills and experience to keep making healthy choices as they get older and grow into wonderful adults.
